Barbershops, Hair & Nail Salons

Effective today, May 11th, Florida Governor DeSantis is allowing barbershops, hair salons, and nail salons to reopen as long as social distancing guidelines are enforced and the following precautions are taken: 

  • Customers must be by appointment only; no walk-ins are allowed.
  • Salons must allow at least 15 minutes between appointments for proper disinfecting practices.
  • No group appointments are permitted.
  • Employees must wear masks (but are not required for clients).

Palm Beach County

The Governor is also allowing Palm Beach county to join the rest of the state (except Miami-Dade and Broward) in re-opening some businesses. Starting today, May 11th, restaurants and retail stores may re-open with capacity limited to 25%. Barbershops and hair and nail salons in Palm Beach county may also re-open under the restrictions noted above.
